About us

Yamazaki Mazak is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of machine tools, laser cutting machines, CNC software and automation solutions. Founded in Japan in 1919, the company now has 11 manufacturing facilities across the globe, with its European Manufacturing Plant based in Worcester in the UK. The Worcester plant is one of Europe’s most advanced manufacturing facilities, employing state-of-the-art machines and automation solutions. It is home to more than 900 employees, including highly skilled engineers, applications support staff, service technicians and specialist trainers, all of whom are dedicated to helping our customers develop their own machining expertise. The plant manufactures more than 1,000 machine tools every year with over 50 different machine types being supplied to customers across Europe and beyond. Our customers work in a diverse range of industries, from aerospace through to medical, energy and subcontracting applications. The extensive range of UK designed and built machines includes the highly popular entry-level CV5-500 5-axis machining centre as well as the VCN-700 and VCE-600 next generation vertical machining centres. In addition, Worcester is home to the European Technology Centre, one of 15 centres around Europe, all dedicated to developing manufacturing excellence, where customers can view the latest machining technologies, test cut components and discuss their own applications and machining challenges.
