About us
Bolton: Vernacare has been manufacturing for 60 years at our facility in Bolton, making up to 140 million single-use medical products from recycled paper and cardboard each year. We build hospital macerators at our factory, which are used to dispose of the medical pulp and human waste after use with patients.
Blackwood: Vernacare manufacture up to 30 million Sharpsafe and Clinical waste containers, on 45 injection moulding machines at our facility in Blackwood, Wales. Our containers are made from recycled plastic, and are used for the disposal of sharps and medical waste in healthcare environments.
How we will be involved with National Manufacturing Day:
Bolton & Blackwood: 4 x 1 hour tours, 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, to groups of up to 20 people. Tours available for local colleges/high schools or higher education students with an interest in product design or manufacturing.
