About us
Philtronics is a Contract Electronic Manufacturer (CEM), offering outsource electronic manufacturing services to customers demanding fast turnaround with a high level of product reliability. We have been in the contract electronic manufacturing business for over 20 years, becoming a key partner in the semiconductor supply chain in Wales.
How we will be involved with National Manufacturing Day:
We will open our doors to the new cohort of Level 3 Enhanced Engineering learners from Merthyr College. Following a business overview, the visit will be filled with activities, including a workshop on crimping and soldering, an interactive Virtual Reality session, and a tour of our facilities. We have provided the same opportunity to learners from Coleg Y Cymoedd and Merthyr College over the past 12 months and the feedback has been amazing. It's always a pleasure to welcome local talent and provide students with a real taste of the electronics manufacturing industry. It will also be an opportunity for the learners and lecturers to discuss apprenticeship and career pathways and meet our apprentices.
