How we will be involved with National Manufacturing Day:
The students will have the opportunity to meet 2 businesses which are operating in 2 different fields of expertise: PIL Membranes and PCL Ceramics.
On arrival, the students will be split in 2 as follow:
- 9.30am-10.45am: Group1 (PCL Ceramics) – Group2 (PIL Membranes)
- 10.45am – 12pm: Group1 (PIL Membranes) – Group 2 (PCL Ceramics)
The slots with PCL will consist of an introduction to the business (“what we do”) with a presentation and will be followed by a guided tour of the facilities such as machine building, mould making, and testing (NPD) areas to give the students an insight to the whole process.
