How we will be involved with National Manufacturing Day:

Join us at Michael Smith Switchgear on National Manufacturing Day for a first-hand insight of our operations.

Our agenda includes an introductory presentation / discussion focusing on our core activities, innovative products and commitment to sustainable practices. You will then be taken on a guided tour of our workshop, where you will have the chance to speak to members of our team about their career in manufacturing and ask any questions you may have.

We will showcase the career opportunities modern manufacturing has to offer, from project engineering to panel building, wiring and production, and let you get a real “behind the scenes” look at what we do.

As part of the visit, you will also have the opportunity to explore the workshop of our sister company, AVW Fabrications, who specialise in laser cutting and sheet metal fabrication. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain a direct and personal understanding of both companies operations.

The duration of your visit is anticipated to be approximately 2 hours, and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

Visits are on an appointment only basis during our opening hours 8am - 4:30pm.
