About the event
Make UK represents manufacturers in the United Kingdom. We enable manufacturers to connect, share, solve problems and create opportunities together. We do this through regional and national meetings, groups, events and advisory boards. We work at every level to ensure UK Manufacturing performs and grows, now and in the future. Make UK provides businesses with advice, guidance and support in employment law, employee relations, health, safety, climate and environment, information and research and occupational health. Through offices in London and Brussels, Make UK provides political representation on behalf of UK business in the engineering, manufacturing and technology-based sectors: lobbying government, MPs, regional development agencies, MEPs and European institutions.
How we will be involved with National Manufacturing Day:
We will be hosting our Future Makers Show at Millennium Point - a great day to open people’s eyes to the breadth of careers available in Manufacturing. A targeted event for Teachers, Careers Advisors, School and College Students, in fact, anyone who would benefit from gaining a wider understanding of Manufacturing and Engineering Apprenticeship Opportunities.
This year we are partnering with Get My First Job, who will be in attendance on the day, as well as some great employers including big local names, who are looking for their next apprentices.

- Morning session from: 9:45am -12pm
