About the event

Go Your Own Way products are designed and made in the Lake District by Founder, Rachel Gaw. The Lake District based brand takes inspiration from its wild heritage, offering unique, personalised gifts and art for all the family. "My Inspiration comes from the forests and mountains of the Lake District, as well as my love of outdoor sports. All of the items are designed with adventurers in mind." Go Your Own Way has been featured in national publications such as The Guardian, Trail Magazine, The Outdoor Guide, Cumbria Life, and Horse and Hound. In 2019 Rachel won the Jacqueline Gold WOW Award and Theo Paphitis' Small Business Sunday Award. Rachel works from her 'shed quarters' at home, overlooking the western fells. As well as running GYOW she also works on a freelance basis with young people and mentoring start-up businesses. With The Lake District being one of the top tourist destinations in the UK as well as being home to thriving communities, it is easy to see why many people hold it so dear. From stunning scenery, fabulous food and drink and so many special adventures to have, Go Your Own Way’s products help keep those memories and adventures alive. Go Your Own Way’s products are stocked both nation wide and across Europe.

How we will be involved with National Manufacturing Day:
